In the end, Job never turned his back on God. He worshipped in spite of his pain. He worshipped because he knew God and he knew God loved him, even if he couldn’t see through his tears.
Worship is powerful….. if you mean it. Otherwise, they are mere words on a screen, set to a beat and a strum, useless, powerless, meaningless. Do you mean the words you sing?
Have you ever stood at the foot of the sea and wondered why it was so breathtaking, or look up from the base of a mountain and gaze in awe at the sheer magnificence? How about the stars; ever wonder why there were so many? Have you ever given it more than a moment’s thought that no man could ever take away one single star?
Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction. 2 Timothy 4:2 NIV

By an act of faith, Abraham said yes to God’s call to travel to an unknown place that would become his home. When he left he had no idea where he was going. By an act of faith he lived in the country promised him, lived as a stranger camping in tents.
Watch out for people who try to dazzle you with big words and intellectual double-talk. They want to drag you off into endless arguments that never amount to anything. Do we place God where He belongs? Do we give him the importance due Him? Are we explaining to our kids who He really is? Do we even understand who we’re talking to? I wonder if we have any idea what we’re dealing with?
Would you worship different if you knew God was watching? Would you pray different if you knew, beyond a shadow of a doubt that he heard that particular prayer? I think many of us would.
Worship is about more than just singing songs at the beginning of church. Worship is about more than music and verses and melodies. When we participate in worship, we are doing what the angels do all the time; we are bringing an offering to the LORD. Yes, worship, if it’s worship, is an offering.
We can’t fool God. We might be able to fool our spouse, our parents, our pastor, even ourselves, but we can never, ever fool God. Because God knows us from the inside out.
