Sometimes kingdom work is exactly what we ought not be doing. Sometimes we have too many ministries, too many areas in which we serve and we end up not giving enough attention to those who should be on the top of our list; our families.
Do you constantly argue with your spouse? Does it ever solve any problems? Are you always insisting people see things your way? How often does that approach actually work for you?
Sometimes times we’re right. Sometimes the other person is just plain wrong and our position, our situation, or argument is clearly correct. But just because we’re correct doesn’t mean we’re blameless.
Enjoy your spouse. Enjoy their company, enjoy their love, enjoy the intimacy. It’s ok.
How important is your marriage? Is it something that you have but not think a lot about? Is it something that nags at you, like an open wound? Is it something that brings you pain, sorrow?
I was recently at a wedding. It was a beautiful wedding, full of love and hope for the future. They were confident, caring and so very much in love with each other. Do you remember when that was your day? I do.
