Crowds gathered around the early church because they were active. They were engaging. They were doing something with the gifts and talents they had received. People notice when a church is actively at work. They notice and they come.
We pray for the sick, the poor, the hungry, the afflicted. We pray for the wayward teenager, the lost eldest son, the dejected uncle. We continually pray for our leaders, our country and our world that peace may reign. But how often do we pray for those solid in Christ? How often do we stop and pray for those who know the way, who light the path? If we’re honest, we’ll admit it’s not often. Why do they get the short end of the stick?
