Why is it that after we’ve been reprimanded, even severely, once the initial sting is gone, we tend to go right back to our old {bad} behavior? Why can’t we learn from the mistakes of our forefathers? Why do we insist on making the same mistakes over and over and over?
Everywhere we go we are being watched. We are being watched by our neighbors, our co-workers and our family. We are being watched by people who know us and those who don’t. Every decision we make, every word we say is being seen by another. Will they see Jesus by watching us? Wow. That’s a hard one…
There comes a point in our walk when we know. We know what kind of movies we shouldn’t see, we know what kind of music is counter-productive to listen to, we know which establishments to no longer frequent. If we know all these things in our hearts then, why will our minds not cooperate? If we know what to stay away from, why are they the very things that are so hard to walk away from?
