This is war, and there is no neutral ground. If you’re not on my side, you’re the enemy; if you’re not helping, you’re making things worse. Luke 11:23 MSG

Whose side are you on? You have to pick.

You can’t be on God’s side at church and on the world’s side at school.

You can’t be on God’s side during worship and on the world’s side at the game.

You can’t be on God’s side when you want and on the world’s when you don’t.

It’s time to pick.

In a culture of taking what we want, we’ve forgotten what it means to pay the price. If we really want a song, we can download it for free somewhere. If we really want a movie or a game, we can get it for free somehow. We take what we want because we’re told it’s ok.

Life is about the decisions we make along the way. It takes a lot to be a Christian. God requires something from us. It is not free. Jesus is not free. Payment is required.

The payment is the world. We have to give up or claim, our right to this earth and all that is on it if we want to claim the name of Christ. We can’t ride the fence on this one. We have to be all in one way or the other. If we’re not all in for God, we are not in at all. God says, “ If you’re not on my side, you’re the enemy; if you’re not helping, you’re making things worse.”

God sees as as one or the other. A follower or an Enemy.

Which are you?

We have to put all our chips in. We can’t leave any in our pockets “just in case.”

It’s all or nothing.

Are you all in?

God, I don’t want to be the enemy. I want to be all in, but I’m afraid. I’m afraid of what it will take. I’m afraid of the price. But I know the price Jesus paid for me. It paid for me with his life before I was ever born. God, I want to be all in. I want to choose your side and never look back, but I need your help. I cannot do this alone. Let me lean on you when it gets really hard, when the temptations are so strong. Send fellow believers to help me stay on the right side of the fence.
