I’m thanking you, God, from a full heart, I’m writing the book on your wonders.  I’m whistling, laughing, and jumping for joy;  I’m singing your song, High God. Psalm 9:1-2 MSG

For the most part, following Christ, being a Christian, should fill us with overwhelming  joy. It should not be a chore or a strain. It should not be something we have to get out of bed and force ourselves to do everyday. Being a child of the King should bring elation to our hearts.

When people see us living a joyful life for God, giving our hearts, helping others, loving life – that is when they see God. They don’t see God when we open our bible and point out a verse to show them their wrongs. They see God in our humility, in our service and in the laying down of our lives.

Turn the focus from pointing out errors to showing grace and mercy. Love others, bring peace, help everyone. Live in joy. It’s the only way people will see who God really is in us.

God, I love living in joy. I love being free and full of you. I cannot imagine my life with the hole that you’ve since filled.  God I pray that I always show you through my life.
